SB23-181 Postponed Indefinitely
We are sad to report that SB23-181 was postponed indefinitely (killed) yesterday.
Yesterday, the Senate Educate committee voted 6-1 to postpone the dyslexia screening bill indefinitely, but there’s more we can still do to effect change.
Sen. Fields said, “As far as I’m concerned, this is a high sense of urgency. I want to applaud the sponsors not to give up, and I’m there with you 100%. Whatever you need from me or this committee, we’re here to support you.”
Other senate education committee members expressed their support for the need, spoke of the power of the emails they had received, some reading quotes.

But you can help!
We’re asking this group to flood Senator Winter and Senator Mullica with thank-you emails or phone calls. Let them know how grateful we are for their efforts!
